D5 Studio was recommended to me by a colleague who had his house done in a Japanese theme that was also what my husband and I were looking for so we decided to use their services for our BTO.
Jason Wong, our ID, was extremely patient with us and was able to accomodate all of our very specific requests and made really good use of the limited space in a 3-room HDB. He was very on the ball with the entire process especially when the renovation works were in progress. Any issues that we brought up, he would address immediately and promptly get them fixed.
He also gave very good advice on material choices as well as the layout for our flat. There were times where we did not intend to have a design a certain way but he would give recommendations and it turned out looking better than we initially thought.
Highly recommend his services and his work. Thank you for making sure the renovation process went smoothly!

“ We have engaged Wayne Wong from D5 Studio Image to renovate our 4-room BTO flat and we are greatly satisfied with the end result.
From the get go, we knew we wanted a Muji-Japandi style home and tried to reach out to a total of 6 interior designers with qanvast and even went to the hangout. From all the engagements, Wayne stood out the most due to his meticulous attention to detail and thorough research, even going beyond to address casual remarks or queries that I made.
I believe for a lot of first time homeowners, the biggest fear is the before sale and after sale service difference, but I can reassure you that Wayne put in all his heart and soul throughout the whole project. He is very friendly and approachable, and accommodated to dealing with the changes that we requested even after the sign off.
D5 studio image is well known for their Japanese style design portfolio and Wayne has very good design sense. It was reassuring to know that he has a team behind him for additional support when problem solving the issues faced in our renovation.
For our house, the biggest challenge was the structural beam in the centre that cannot be removed. We were clueless and frustrated about what to do with the wall and design such that the space is utilised practically and aesthetically. Wayne actually came up with several good proposals and constantly checked in with our expectations before retouching his proposed ideas. He was very patient throughout the process. We eventually settled to have a dry pantry there which also act as a separation between the dining room and living room. No regrets as we have received plenty of compliments from our family and friends about how well done the dry pantry space was!

“I engaged them for my renovation after meeting with more then 5 interior designers . Although their quotes was not the cheapest, their professionalism and expertise stood out clearly. My designer, Dave, impressed me during our second meeting - after I had already shared my requirements in the first session. He prepared a 3D drawing that helped visualise how my home would look. Throughout the engagement, he demonstrated strong expertise and experience. Overall, I am very satisfied and happy customer! “

“ Highly recommend Dave Wee from D5 Studio Image. Dave is very knowledgeable in the practical aspects of the design and doesn't just focus on the aesthetics. We spoke to 5 different firms and decided on Dave because he listened to our ideas and came up with a design that resonates most closely to what we wanted. In addition he was also not afraid to share what he thought was not feasible in our ideas.
It was when the project started that his experience really showed. He was quick to respond to adjustments however minor and not commercial at all with fees. I do not see this working out unless the ID has excellent project management skills and a strong relationship with contractors who are responsive to his requests. From a cost perspective, it gives me great comfort knowing that I am able to have the flexibility of minor adjustments after checking the finished work.
Overall, Dave is patient and very responsible. I am lucky to have his support. “

“ Thanks Jeffrey for being our ID in our renovation journey.
After engagement, he spent some time to understand our requirements before preparing the design which fits our needs and timeline. He also went in-depth into our storage requirements and provided ideas and input.
He has a good understanding of the renovation milestone and provided a very hands on walk thru for the selection on build of materials and colours (Tiles/Laminate/Paint Color), which not every ID would help to advice on. His recommendations helped us greatly in the final decision making.
Once the renovation started, he was quite on the ball to visit on site to ensure things went well and proactively helped to rectify some defects that he noticed even before we brought them up. Those brought up by us would also be addressed promptly. We didn't have to closely monitor every step as periodic updates were given.
What sets him apart from other ID is his service and response in post reno. He is still helping to address and rectify them.

“We did our home renovation with Andrew, Hui Min, and their team some time ago, and until today, we’re still so happy with the results. From the very start, they were professional, friendly, and easy to work with. They really listened to our ideas and understood what we wanted for our home. It felt like a true collaboration, and they also gave us great suggestions to make the space even better.
One thing we really appreciate is how they managed to create a beautiful design while keeping within our budget. Renovations can be stressful and expensive, but their planning was very thoughtful. They helped us pick materials and layouts that not only look great but are also practical and affordable. Even after staying in the house for some time, we can see that the quality is still there, and the design still feels fresh and modern.

Looking back, we’re so thankful to Andrew, Hui Min, and their team for turning our ideas into reality. The house they created for us is not just stylish but also warm and comfortable. It’s a space that truly feels like home for our family.

“ We're first-time homeowners looking to do up our home in muji style. We wanted to have an open kitchen with the option of closing the door when doing heavy cooking and looking for a solution that matches our muji style instead of the usual glass partition most BTO uses.
Dave impresses us with his creativity and suggestion on space maximization as well as solving the challenge of giving us an option to close the kitchen when cooking and fully opening it up when we're not cooking in a muji style we love. He was the only ID who highly recommends that we hack away the service yard. An idea which we adore and didn't regret.
Dave is clearly a highly experienced consultant who is confident of his design and work. We are highly impressed with the workmanship quality and how our renovation turns out.
Not only did he met our timeline for handover, but the project was also completed ahead of the projected timeline. Even after the handover, Dave still responds to our queries and come by for minor touch up.

“ I deliberately waited almost 6 months before writing this review, because my experience with renovations is that things don't necessarily go wrong only during or immediately after the project, but problems can creep up a few months down the road. Jason was the ID assigned to my project. I already had quite a detailed plan of how I want my place to look, but Jason was able to recommend subtle changes to my plans to make it even better while creating greater cost-efficiency. Of the four IDs I spoke to, Jason was most able to incorporate my ideas into his plans while keeping costs relatively low. Jason was friendly and did not push ideas or products - our discussions always went well and he was able to incorporate my many ideas into the work. The project generally followed the timeline and budget. The workmanship is generally good. Most importantly, one of the hinges to a shower screen door started loosening after about 4 months of use. Granted, this was not a pleasant surprise, but when i informed Jason about it, he was very quick in arranging for the hinge to be tightened without any issues. Jason has provided excellent after-sales service! I recommend D5 Studio and specifically Jason Lee. “
